Denniss Septic Tank Service has roots that stretch back to the late 1960s and early 1970s, when the septic and excavating work was originally operated under a Temperance-based company called Turski & Kuncle Excavating. In the early 1980s, Mike Dennis purchased the septic division of the business and renamed it “Denniss Septic Tank Service,” officially beginning the company that has now served Southeast Michigan for more than 50 years.

Throughout the decades, the business evolved through several variations—pumping septic tanks, completing repairs, inspections, and even operating early portable toilet units. Many of the vintage trucks from those years still tell the story of how far the company has come, from the earliest pump trucks to the newer Freightliner added in the early 2000s. In 2023, as Mike began looking toward slowing down, Nate Dusseau partnered with him to carry the business into its next chapter. Nate stepped in to help with the physical workload, expand services, and continue the commitment to honest, dependable septic care that Mike built the company on.

Today, Denniss Septic Tank Service proudly offers full-service septic pumping, septic inspections, repairs, RV and holding-tank services, portable toilet rentals, and a wide range of septic and sewer solutions. What began as a small operation in the 70s has grown into a modern, multi-service septic company—still family operated, still committed to quality, and still serving the community more than five decades later.
